To all Natural Healing Providers in Southwest Missouri & folks seeking natural healing resources
We are facing a major health insurance crisis as the new Obama Health Insurance System kicks in and people are forced to buy private health insurance or pay a penalty tax. The Obama insurance system is no solution to the problem--just more profits for big pharmaceuticals and private insurance.
Jon Anfinson will share what he has learned from his attempt to organize a Wellness Provider Network. He has discovered that people are afraid of what the government may require us to do unless we have an alternative health insurance system.

We will be meeting at the Library Center Room B on next Sunday, February 24thfrom 2 to 4 PM
We will be exploring ways that we may work together cooperatively to provide quality Natural Health Care resources in Missouri that can protect us from unreasonable control by the federal government and provide an alternative to the Obama health tax.
We discovered some alternatives in the most recent YES Magazine http://www.yesmagazine.org/
Nonprofit organizations in 24 states have received funding to start health care cooperatives. They are bringing together health care providers with consumers as members of one non-profit organization. Uninsured people were willing to pay a nominal monthly fee---like $18.00---if it guaranteed access to medical care. Doctors actually earned more by billing patients directly---even at those nominal fees---than they did by going through Medicare, Medicaid, or HMOs. If other countries can work out successful affordable health care for all their citizens, we (the people) should be able to come up with savvy ways to do even better.
I personally have been working for a single-payer health insurance system ever since my first wife and I had to divorce so she could get health care under Medicaid.
