ETA: Wow! Just found out we're going to be selling 4-packs for a dollar, 6-packs for $1.50 - this beats the prices at Lowe's or Walmart, a really nice thing during tough times!
Want some great, healthy plants for your garden? Have we got a sale for you!
We've planted a huge variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers for your pleasure; both heirloom and hybrid varieties of vegetables, several types of herbs, and new flower varieties from our seed trials!
Here's what we'll have on hand:
20 varieties of tomatoes, some heirloom, some hybrid, including brandywine, jet star, rose de berne, marglove and more.
7 pepper varieties, more than half heirlooms, including bell peppers, serrano chilis, jalapenos, bananas and habanaros. A range of heat for all tastes!
Other vegetable plants available include cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, okra, cucumbers, summer squash, cantelope, eggplant, and kohlrabi, including a number of heirloom varieties.
We also have grown a range of herbs; two varieties of basil, thyme, oregano, cilantro/corriander, spearmint, bouquet dill and German chamomile.
And don't forget our seed trial flowers! These are excess plants from seed trials we've been participating in for new varieties not otherwise offered yet. Want something unique in your garden this year?
The sale is taking place in the Karls Hall Greenhouse on the MSU campus. There is metered parking in front of Carrington Hall; take National south towards Grand, and turn in at the parking loop at the stoplight-controlled crosswalk just north of Grand. There is additional metered parking at Bearpark South; take Grand west from National past John Q. Hammonds Parkway to the parking garage at Holland, park and take the red line shuttle towards Carrington, getting off at the Art Annex - Karls Hall is right next door. There will be signs and sidewalk chalk directions on campus from either of these locations.
Proceeds from this sale benefit research at the William H. Darr School of Agriculture at MSU, including sustainable agriculture research projects like mine! Hope to see you there!
