Went to the Low-acid Pressure Cooking, How to Pickle and Salsa From Your Garden, they were all great! I learned A LOT!

Hi Jen,

It wasn't clear to me which classes you were referring to from your original post. The classes are scheduled several weeks in advance in order to schedule the instructor, schedule the location, and to make sure there is enough time to get equipment together. If you can't make the class, you might want to check your nearest local public library for books on the topic of low acid pressure canning.

Low acid Pressure Canning is the main one I need to go to. It looks like its only on Mondays. Am I reading the schedule wrong?

Jen,

Did you check the dates and times for each of the five offerings? Four out of the five are offered on days that are not Monday.

I really would like to go to a couple of these classes, I work on Mondays till 8pm and no way to get off work at this time. Any chance they will be offered on a Tue or Wed ?

My husband and I are signed up for all 5 classes, and very excited because it will also be our first time canning. We'll be going to the 6 pm classes Monday-Friday June 21-25. Sounds like the course should be extremely helpful. Can't wait to maybe make some new friends as a bonus!

I signed up for all 5 classes on Mondays at 1:00 for $70...it's $15 a class this year and there's lot's of times offered. I'm really excited to take these courses, since it will be my 1st time canning.

Melissa,

I'm not sure how the series will be handled. Last year they had a single class and it was $10. I believe it was hands on and attendees were able to take thier canned food home.

I've been teaching myself with some long distance help from a friend who is an expert but lives 1300 miles away, it will be really nice to have hands on, visible instruction and a group to share ideas and information with! Sounds like fun, I hope the schedule is such that I can go :)
