I'm not sure if this is the same swap meet in Fordland that we attend. The swapmeet is held the last Saturday of the month beginning in March and ending in September or October. Buyers can attend and park for no fee, and sellers pay a $5.00 fee. It begins before sunrise (5:00 AM ish) and wraps up around noon with a drawing. Items sold includes: all types of small farm animals from: chickens, rabbits, goats, sheep, piglets, llamas, etc, to pets: dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc., and homegrown produce. You might see some garage sale type items, but that isn't as popular. Most items are "grown or produced" on the family farm. It is really a nice place to go to buy/ sell or trade. There are no association dues involved. They have a snack bar with breakfast and a few lunch items. Bathrooms with flush toilets and sinks are a plus too (many swapmeets only have porta potties if anything). You'll meet a great deal of nice people and see all kinds of breeds of the same animal. We look forward to it every month. The swapmeet is located off highway 60 to FF past the TV towers and the saddleclub is on the right. It is a rather large event and the best one we have attended. I don't think you would be disappointed. We attended one at SugarTree near Rolla that was very disappointing. From a blog you would think it was huge. We were one of three groups set up with about the same coming to look. Fordland is awesome and well worth attending. One of our fellow rabbit breeders drives from Birch Tree, which is about 100 away, so that says a great deal.
