They were there last time I checked (early December).  They are gone now on both sites.  :(  The 16 oz mason type jars were like 25 cents each and lids were 15 cents or so.

It would be nice if the Arkansas Glass Container Corp listed their prices in their online catalog.

I just wanted to let folks know about A Glass Container (Arkansas Glass Container Corp) in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  They sell bottles, jars and jugs at VERY good prices.  They also have lids.  Our winery buys bottles from them and they are wonderful folks with great products.  They took us on a tour of their factory. They get everything to make the glass from the USA and as close to Jonesboro as possible.  It might be worth while for folks to co-op and buy the canning jars by the pallet for resale here and use here.  Why use imported stuff when these guys are putting Americans (especially veteran of our armed forces) to work.  http://www.aglasscontainer.com/

No you just have to post a sign stating "This food was not prepared in an FDA approved kitchen." If you want to sell, you only have to pay a booth fee and set up to sell your wares...food, crafts, woodworking, honey, whatever you do with your own hands.

Brian do you have to have a commercial kitchen to be able to sell goodies at this festival?

I just got through canning 10-1/2 quarts of fresh green beans from the garden. Still getting green beans and lots of banana peppers, as well as red and green peppers. Have broccoli coming ready again in the greenhouse also. Got 30 lbs of apples off of our little apple tree and made lots of apple butter and getting ready to make apple junk jam within the next week.

We are hosting a fall festival in the Reeds Spring area where I will have lots of my preserved goodies for sale...one of our favorites "junk jam". Hope you can attend.
