The Herb Society strives to educate the public about the use of herbs for culinary, medicinal, decorative and craft purposes. Yearly membership fees are $12 per person. All levels of herbal knowledge and experience are welcome.

Springfield Herb Society met last night with a Christmas party and new officers elected.
You are invited to join the Springfield Herb Society. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the new Botanical Center in Springfield. $12 yearly dues.
In January, the agenda will be made. Come prepared to let us know what classes/trips/projects/etc. you would like the group to offer this year.
Mark your calendar for January 18, 6:30 p.m. at the Botanical Center in Springfield. Yearly dues are due at this meeting.

The Herb Garden sponsored by the Herb Society at The Kitchen Community Garden is still looking good. Did a lot of weeding yesterday and saved some seeds. Have tons of thai basil and banana mint seeds if anyone wants some. Should I leave all the plants with seed? remove seeds? cut back? Any suggestions would be welcome. Hope you all can make it by in the next week and take some herbs or seeds with you.
