"Hi Bill, my Broc started to freeze and died, but my cabbage, kale, spinach and arugula survived all winter. Our greenhouse is basically a reclaimed frame with plastic positioned over a 24 X 16 ft. raised bed...not heated at all."

C-Street Market is looking for Local Produce vendors

We are expanding the market this year and looking for local farmer's to sell produce, meat, eggs, jams, seedlings and other hand-made items. This is a wonderful community right in the center of Springfied located by the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge on Historic Commercial Street.

- Aubree, Good luck on your pepper starts. We normally start ours in late Feb. Seems to me that if I don't get them started early and up to a large size we don't get colored peppers until late in the season. I rechecked the Clydes garden planter and show March 22 for starting peppers and tomatoes indoors but for us anyway a good 2to 3 weeks earlier works best for the peppers. Having said this I realize that most people around here go by Clydes and always have a good crop and I know you will too. By the way good luck on this years Kitchen community Garden.
