Christine. Have not forgotten. Looking for the right person, the right time. Plus we are getting some buy-in, at least in theory, from the school systems contract food source. Other institutions, like Cox and others, are doing the same. With the oil spill affecting what is left of the food we produce here. It is going to get very tight this summer. On the upswing.... there is no better place to grow tomatoes ( 100 years ago we grew the worlds tomatoes) and there is a shortage nation wide. Nough said. Love that you are here. Call me if you can ever work us into something. LOcal food local jobs.... that's what we are about. we need both!

Christine we could so use your help. Institutional food is the worst., In some cases it ranks less in quality than fast food. It is an embarrasment. Hospitals and Schools should be mecas of good food and good nutrition! We are all about that. Actually, locally produced food in our institutions will give us the balance we need to support a local economy.... so it all works together. My main goal ( i'm really not a farmer) is to rebuild and local economy and improve the health of children.. I like to say that food is at the core of vevery problem and every solution. Thank you for seeing it. I hope that you can use your position to help us. ia am planning a get together on the 8th of May. Allison Cash is coming and others. We need a strong femaile contingent in this city to make it happen. Interested?
