I enjoyed this interview with Dan Chiles. I like his progressive attitude. Seems to be a forward thinker. Springfield is lucky to have him. Thanks again Dale for your work this past weekend.

Thanks to Hummert/Springfield Seed and Lawn and Garden Show Report

Thanks to Hummert/Springfield Seed for allowing us to be a part of the Lawn and Garden Show. Without their help we wouldn't of been there. Show Darrell and his crew your appreciation by supporting them with your business and referrals. They are a great bunch of folks. We talked with 1000's of people this weekend at the show. We were encouraged by many to keep up the good fight. We saw a lot of 1st time gardeners and many who are getting back in to raising their own food, as well as seasoned vete… Continue

Another Round of Greenhouse Building 101

Believe it or not, there is not supposed to be any white stuff falling from the sky this Wednesday. So... we are going to try to get ends on the greenhouse, and anchor down the sled. Anyone wants to come learn and play, come on out.

WE WOULD LIKE TO FEATURE YOUR CANNED AND PRESERVED FOODS.

Well Fed Neighbor will be having a booth at the Lawn and Garden Show, Feb. 19th-21s, at the Fairgrounds. Hummert/ Springfield Seed has allowed us to set up with them. One of the features of our booth will be to show the public examples of canned, preserved, and dried food. We can only make this happen if you bring us things to show. If you would like to label your items, we will do our best to get them back to you. Please leave me your feedback if you are interested, and I will make arrangements… Continue

Storage Space Needed

Well Fed Neighbor has a need for some short term storage space. Would anyone have a building or space(approx. 12X20) we could store some supplies in starting immediately. Items have been made available to WFNA that we need to pick up and store by Jan. 27th (this Wednesday). If we can't find a spot we will miss out. We could also use a box truck to move these items to a secure location. Please reply to this site or call Mark Hay at 417-849-7941.

Mark I see what you mean by inapproprate advertising on the blog. I'm getting tired of seeing adds for viarga and the like. How about booting them off the site

good to hear from you. I noticed that you saw my photos. As for the paw paws, those are just the regular ones.

Bill, The ends are both partially finished and figuring out the anchoring system so it doesn't fly away in the wind. I need to install the baseboard that the track goes on. Once the plastic is on, My friend Leroy is going to cut off the sod and I'll put my barrier down, then off to the races. I've been waiting for a day warm enough to paint the wood structure, but that's no biggie. Also, should be picking up those pots in the next day or two that the man gave us at the show. Several thousand if I remember correctly.
Thanks, Mark

Mark is all that is left in order to install your covering, installing the track for the wiggle wire, and puting the cover on and fastening it down with the wiggle wire? If there is more left before completion please let me know. I figure an afternoon to install the track then its on with the plastic.

Mark How much did you all get done today. Did you get the front and back on or did you get all the way to the plastic? Thanks for the invite, glad I got to meet you and the others.
