I was raised here in the town of Richland , but helped my grandfather as a child in his 2-1/2 acres of garden. While not growing commercially, we do raise about 75% of our own food in our garden, and get our meat from our son-in-law. We live on 1-1/2 acres on the edge of town, with a 160'X40' garden, a small orchard including Apples, pears, peaches, and cherries, and a small blackberry patch.
Our goal is to eventually raise 100% of our food, including wheat for flour.
