Young Male Lab Found

Just realized we don't really have a place for this in the classifieds so, I will just jot it here.

Last week I found a young Blonde Lab running around my neighborhood in southeast sgf/galloway area. No tags or collar, but he appears to be trained so I have been trying to find his owner. But I already have more pets than I can manage so I need to find him a place to stay.

If you are looking for a good sturdy outside dog, this one would be a good find.

Thanks.

Can We Pressure Obama As Much As Monsanto Is?

Michelle, What is up? You're all about taking on our nations health problems. Yet, over the last 3 weeks the Obama administration approved three new biotech crops. I hope I'm wrong but there are lots of indications that the GMO industry will be the next Big Tobacco. There is so much money being made and set to be made by patenting and owning…

Becoming a New Family Farmer (video)

A lot of us have dreamed about chucking our city ways and living on the
land as a small organic farmer. Here’s the story about Michael Paine, a
man who went to college in the Bronx, then joined the Peace Corps and
was sent to Lesotho to grow trees.

Full story: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/becoming-a-new-family-farmer-video.html

Very inspirational.

A letter to the St.Louis dispatch

Letters to the editor, June 5

A family-farm economy strengthens the nation

At a summit in Hillsboro this week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture

sought solutions to the crises that threaten to cripple rural economies.

We're at a critical crossroads.

America's family farmers are in jeopardy. Family farms face rising

production costs and… Continue

Yesssss, on the added colour on the site - especially the GREEN! Could it be for dear St. Patty's Day?! Or could it be that we are green-promoting, "earthy" people - agrarian and all that?! Anyway, I like the new site graphics very much - but just a little colour makes it POPP! Thanks for all you do... Mimi

Hello, looking for food events and gardens I might get some students involved with in this community, seems allot of spouting about sustainability but not being taken to seriously, the upcoming Chefs need to know sources and we need to promote the affordable sustainable product, are their any green house farms in the area, also we need sources for recycling cardboard, glass, etc. Thanks for the invite, In Food We Trust, Chef Paul

Hi ThePopp

I hope you don't mind me bothering you. I have a question. Is there any way we can set up a feature on the website where people can add or remove a communty garden location? It is winter and I have not had much input. If we could have the list on the home page more people in the community might participate in volunteering?
