A Small Step...

When I woke to another Monday morning with no job to go to, reality slapped me in the face. Hard! I realized I had changed and had actually taken a small step toward sustainability

Local foods are what we are about. My garden size has increased 5 fold. This year will include a lot more canning with possibly some left over to sell and donate. Buying local is something I have always done. So, that covers local food.

I was going through some papers and ran across a saying I heard a long time ago. I have no idea where it came from. It might be worth some thought.

I had a thought, Curtis Milsap at Milsap Farm is a great guy to work with. you mentioned you had some extra time you might want to talk to him about trading work. He can always use help and his CSA is skyrocketing toward 100 shares. Wish I had time to go out and spend with him and his crew. Really neat folks.

Welcome aboard!
Please know that you are always invioted to join the regular 10 am-noon roundtable, (Friday meeting of volunteers at our offices in Hummert/Springfield Seed Company). It is located at the SW corner of Glennstone and Chestnut Expressway, in the large building behind the Council of Churches, and Crosslines (the former Food Harvest of the Ozarks Bld).

This week, the emphasis is on preparations for the upcoming lawn and Garden show at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, 19,20, 21 Feb. Hope to see you soon-
