I am one who loves to find old gardening books or whatever helpful books from years ago. They tend to be more personal, straighter to the point and many have simple illustrations.



Here are a couple I have been using and have found so much useful information in them. Maybe when I'm not so tired, I will start posting helpful information and ideas that I am using out of them.

Oh, What a Day!

My wife said early this morning, "Are you going to the park today"? My reply, "I might". About ll:30 I arrived at Close Memorial Park, the lot was already half full. I thought I don't need this light jacket and started around the west end of Lake Drummond with two plastic shopping bags in my pocket just in case I saw some trash.

We will be installing a garden at Hummerts instead of having our weekly meeting on Friday April 16th.
All is welcomed and encouraged to participate. We will meet at Hummerts at 10 am (corner of Glenstone and
Chestnut Expressway). Bring your gloves, tools, hat or just show up ready to work!

I always liked James Brown-The Hardest Working Man In Show Business. Never got to meet him, but loved the energy he put in to his songs. He reminds me of Galen Chadwick, The Hardest Working Man In Well Fed Neighbor.
