Young Male Lab Found

Just realized we don't really have a place for this in the classifieds so, I will just jot it here.

Last week I found a young Blonde Lab running around my neighborhood in southeast sgf/galloway area. No tags or collar, but he appears to be trained so I have been trying to find his owner. But I already have more pets than I can manage so I need to find him a place to stay.

If you are looking for a good sturdy outside dog, this one would be a good find.

Thanks.

Can We Pressure Obama As Much As Monsanto Is?

Michelle, What is up? You're all about taking on our nations health problems. Yet, over the last 3 weeks the Obama administration approved three new biotech crops. I hope I'm wrong but there are lots of indications that the GMO industry will be the next Big Tobacco. There is so much money being made and set to be made by patenting and owning…

Becoming a New Family Farmer (video)

A lot of us have dreamed about chucking our city ways and living on the
land as a small organic farmer. Here’s the story about Michael Paine, a
man who went to college in the Bronx, then joined the Peace Corps and
was sent to Lesotho to grow trees.

Full story: http://www.care2.com/greenliving/becoming-a-new-family-farmer-video.html

Very inspirational.

At a summit in Hillsboro this week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture

Communication is key to any movement.

As we set forth to restore our basic self-sufficiency, it is important that we have good communication. Info sharing will be vital to conserving our intellectual resources. There is not enough time for us to do this redundantly.
I ran across an appropriate article I thought I was well written about the importance of social media in the Ag space.

NING Training

Many have asked "How do I use this site?" Greta question. Have spent a fair amount of time looking for good tutorials, and most are for Making Ning sites not using them. I did find some helpful slideshows at http://krisdesigns.ning.com/video/video/listTagged?tag=ning that you can visit if you are logged into our site (which I guess you are if you are ready this.) Try watching a few or all of… Continue

Migrating content from our original blog at www.wellfedneighbor.com

We will soon (few weeks) be changing the address of the original blog. If you have information, events, blog posts that you think need to migrate to this space, please do so. You can easily copy/paste into new blogs. And now when you put events in the calendar you don't need to go through an admin layer. Let me know if there is an asset there that you cannot move. The original site will not go away but it will require a different address to get to access.

New Logos for WFNA

Well fed neighbor, Rob Bernet has been slaving away at the drawing board for a few weeks and has finally completed our new logo. It was designed to better communicate our agrarian roots and aspirations. His period type hearkens back to our golden age. He will also be redesigning this site soon to reflect the palette. We will hopefully have gear featuring the new logo (hats, shirts, bumper stickers, window klings and buttons) so that our members can proudly display their… Continue
