It's Either OUR Way or the SAME WAY...

Every Sunday I watch the political shows to see if I might glean some inkling that ANYthing is changing. Nope. Under this admin., Democrats accused Republicans of

Blocking good ideas. Republicans did the same of democrats under Bush. Same old arguments, same old finger pointing, same old distraction. Behind the scenes, big oil, big farma, and big pharma still run the show.

Does big oil want us to produce high grade efficient ethanol from sugar beets or sorghum? No. they want us putzing around with corn….. why? It’s inefficient and low yield and it allows them to keep selling gas. Does big farma want to see Us secure in our food, our economy and health? No. They want us dependent on them to supply the food. Isn’t that a huge surprise? Does Big Pharma want us to get healthier? Now come on! Think! If we eat better, live better, stay healthy….. they don’t get to supply the products for an ever growing list of maladies created by……. Dare I say it? ….. the food we eat. It is a big ugly circle.

Big Pharma creates the meds that cows and pigs are doest with on feed lots. A departure back to naturally raised, grass feed, chemical free beef and pork would mean a huge drop in business for them!

No, we are our only friends. It is up to us to quit listening and start doing. Quit taking direction, quit assuming what you hear is true……… and let’s do something for ourselves! The Well-Fed Neighbor Alliance is dedicated to a re-localization of a good, fresh, naturally grown, food supply which will give birth to a vibrant sustainable local economy and jobs. It is just that simple. We are American as it gets. We are for security. We are for health. We are for local economy and jobs.

AND THAT IS ALL WE ARE FOR. After that it is up to you. We are not about telling people how to live….. we are about offering the opportunity to REMAIN free so that you CAN live as you want.

PS. Things in Springfield Mo and the surrounding food-shed are progressing in leaps and bounds. We are working to get local food into our markets, our schools, our hospitals. We ARE going to do it because we ARE NOT GOING TO QUIT.

I like your style. It is the only way home. We have allowed ourselves to become comfortable with others looking out for our best interest. What that has bought us is a system that is about everything but us... our future... our security... our economy... our health... our children. I look at Izzy everyday and i wonder what his life will be like if we are not successful. We can't fail. That's all there is to it. He who owns your food owns you. That's it. That's all. There is no other view, there is no other version, there is not other way of looking at it. If we are dependent for our food, our water, our economy, our children will not be secure, properous, healthy, happy or ..... free. thank you ali. You keep on keepin on. We need every strong woman we can find because in you lies the change that will come. When women all over our food shed say, " I want locally grown fresh, real food in my grocery, my school, my hospital", it will happen..... an not until then.

Ruell , You are correct. Everyone needs to express the passion they have for this out to the public. It's easy to talk amoungst ourselves, and even some of our friends, but to step out and share with a stranger, that is what is needed. That is how the circle grows. With compassion for the ignorant (those with lack of knowledge in this area), leading them when they do not know which way to go. Helping them with a plan. Getting to the basics of life. Challenge others to wake up! It's not just the cool thing to do, which I see in some, it's the only way that is going to carry us into the future. Not a trend, it's a way of life. It is LIVING!
