Village Aquaponic Systems

The attached link provides information about creating a food source for an entire village- by using large, self-contained and enclosed aquaponic systems, in which the water from the fish tank feeds/hydrates the plants and the plants clean the water before it returns to the main pool.

Hi Micheal-- Did some more research and found a comprehensive data base for aquaponic systems. Hope this helps.

A church group wants to sponsor my aquaculture project. They want to help their community and I want to start and operate what I believe is the solution to feeding the many, many, hungry people in our hard hit area. What I need, as I know water treatment and the equipment, is some help in getting started. Not just words of encourgement, but words like,"its city water, other than sodium thiosulfate what can I do?" It gets freezing cold here. Anybody have solutiones for us?
