Martin Sheen, narrates, produced by John Perkins of Confessions of an economic hit man fame. They get a lot of things wrong IMHO but I post it here for discussion. One fallacy is they do not understand what "capitalism" is. Mr. Perkins thinks that a corrupt government, bribed by criminals that are in business that do horrible things to people is called capitalism. A great example of the Orwellian redefinition of words. The redeeming thing about this film is that it made me think about the real causes of poverty.

A good book on this topic which documents historical facts is Smedley Butler's "War is a Racket" Smedley was Americas most highly decorated soldier. He stopped a facists overthrow of the FDR administration by the likes of the Rockefeller's (amazing but true). The book documents how American business interest started every war he was in and stole the resources of other countries. Highly recommended, just please do not come up with a socialist solution like John Perkins leans towards.
